Salut, ce faci? Eu sint italian si inteles putin romana, dar nu vb romana.
Yeah I know some romanian, I've had a 3 years long relationship with a romanian girl some time ago. When I met her I didn't know she was romanian coz her italian was nearly perfect (she lived in Italy since she was 19 and I've met her when she was 24). Romanians learn italian fast coz romanian language is a neo-latin language. In Italy there are a lot of Romanians, they are the biggest community of immigrants in Italy. The fact is that they arrived all in few years, so that has caused some problems, in particular with gypsies. Many Italians don't make differences between gypsies and Romanians. Personally I don't dislike gypsies either, but many Italians do. One thing you gotta know is that the majority of prostitutes who work in Italy are eastern Europeans, Romanians and Albanians in particular. So some ignorant Italians have a wrong idea about eastern european girls. On the other side many Italians have eastern women who work as maid at their home, they take care of children or of old people. Those Italians have positive feelings towards eastern people. In general Romanians are quite disliked in this period coz some things happened lately: some romanian guys have raped some italian girls and some foreigner tourists. So now Romanians are labeled as rapists. The most discriminating area in Italy is North-East, but there are many Romanians who live there and when their behavior is good they are accepted. Personally I love Eastern European peoples and balkanian ones in particular, they are a little crazy and moody, but very funny and creative people. Plus eastern european women are often better educated than italian women: they usually speak many foreign languages (english almost all) and read more.
At the end, if you want to visit Italy, don't worry, you will mainly meet nice people here. Ta doresc mult noroc. Pa.
P.S.: don't hide your nationality as someone suggested you, the one who suggested you that belongs to the kind of people who should hide themselves (and under some meters of ground would be better to me). Be always proud of your roots and if someone is not ok with that it's just their problem, you can't care of all the losers who live on this planet, can you? |

A few years ago, Albanians were not very well accepted by Italy. Lately though, in certain parts of Italy, some people from Romania have been treated as unwanted immigrants. Sicilians do not feel as strongly and tend to welcome Romanians a bit more. |

Im indian, i got treated like a queen when i went, the guys there are
so kind, beautiful and funny! I had a lot of people kissing my hand, and a lot of people coming up and talking to me.
If your beautiful, then you will have no problem meeting italian guys. |

if you are beautiful they will think that you are beatiful.
but you have to know that being Romanian has less appeal than being American or French, for example...
because in Italy there are a lot of bad Romanian people (theare a lot of good people too)... and for this reason, there is a spreding racism against Romanians... expecially in the Venice area (which is the most racist area in Italy) and in Rome (because Rome is the city with the highest percentage of Romanian people)
are you from Greece? don't say that you are Romanian, say that you are greek and you won't have any problems
if you are blond with blue eyes... say that you are Estonian and it will be even better |
