they wear clothes- like other normal human beings

Don't believe. First of all how people wear in Italy change from north to south. And that's very important. South is much more interested in ''griffes''...how do you say...''signed clothes''. But it's not a very interesting question because italians wear normal clothes as you. Maybe if you specific in which occasion you want to know how do they dress i can tell you...

when i went in July, most people where wearing pants (not jeans but more like slacks) and short sleeve shirts. i didn't see many people wearing much bright colors, yet i did see one homeless man wearing bright orange pants. people wore nice shoes and sunglasses.

In Italy jeans are really popular. Clothes cost a lot, because in Italy people are concerned about fashion and are ready to pay anything for a Dolce and Gabbana or Armani. The latest shoes of Adidas and Nike are cool as well but the most important accessories are sunglasses and scarfs. That's how you can recognize and Italian :) Good luck for your homework and just make sure you spell WEAR correctly in your report.
