Quite a lot! Good plumbers are very requested, and charge quite a bit! Moreover, you would work on your own, and decide your own schedule...
However, I don't think you would need to get a national certification, but for sure you will need a working visa and some contacts to help you build a client base. Knowing the language is essential: most elderly people and low education people do not speak a word of English!

if the the question is...plumbers get paid a lot the answer is not so much. electritians or construction workers get a nice pay check. good luck.

A lot...it's one of the highest paid professions in the country mainly because there aren't that many...but you would have to go back to school and get certified in the country, and of course you would have to become fluent in the language. But Italian plumbers get paid a lot and you will have a lot of customers - an italian generally has to wait months before they can get an appointement with a plumber. Good Luck!

I'm italian, I confirm: plumbers are much requested and they get good money. I think it's a job that young people don't want to do anymore so they're becaming rare eheh..
well, when I was looking for a plumbers for my new house I waited for him one month!!!
you need to learn italian, at least the words that you need for your job!
sorry for my bad english
in bocca al lupo!
