I love Firenze..I studied there last semester. I always wondered why there are so many albanian people? That's the number 1 thing i was surprised at...it seems there are more albanians then italians!!

It was small and had gorgeous views of mountains. The shopping was nice, great place to be and I wish I was there with you right now!

I was just there 2 weeks ago my first time ever in Italy and I wish I was back!!!! Loved it. If you're the type of person who's constantly in a rush, Florence will definitely slow you down. I was amazed by all of the ancient architecture, paintings and the beautiful Ponte Vecchio.

I am seriously considering going back next year but with a few stopovers such as Siena, Venice and perhaps Capri.
It also helps if you know basic italian!!! LOL. I didn't really have too much trouble as I was with a group of people and we had one translator with us.

Seeing the Duomo for the first time is quite an experience as it is so imposing over the city and looks so spectacular. The maze of streets is also great and I love the view from Piazza Michelangelo over the city.

I love Florence. It was the best place I visited in Italy. Santa Croce was my absolute favorite church, and I loved the gelato there (especially La Carraia!) It was verryy expensive though, especially for an American tourist.

Have never been to Florence - it is the birthplace of Florence Nightingale - is about all I know of it.

I'm going to be in Italy for the first time this year. My boss [the wife] and me, are having seven days in Sorrento with a day trip to the Isle of Capri.
