I loved Italy. I am thinking of going back next summer. If you are polite and nice they will treat you nice as well. It was hard for me to make friends, but I am also a little reserved. My favorite cities I visited were Bologna and Rome. Even when the people did not speak English when i was looking for a hotel, they still tried to help me out. Plus the food was some of the best food I have ever had!!!!!!!!!! Basically the people are nice, the food is great, and the history is something else. You'll love it. Enjoy your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm half italian and living in Molise (Isernia) italy is pretty nice though not everywhere! i think that italians are quite polite =) especially when it comes to lunch time! always welcoming etc... though they can't drive! they use their hooters/horn too much, and uh yeah that's about it =) otherwise they are good people!

Beautiful country, beautiful people. They have pride and passion, great food and a wonderful language.

If I could come back in another life as a different nationality to my own (Scottish), I would come back as an Italian.

ps - but i can never forgive Luca Toni for that goal he scored against us at Hampden Park lol : )

Italy...Great food, good style, and very classy to a degree.

Italians...Just like everyone else for the most part, but with a bit more machismo in the culture. They're also slightly less individualistic than we are and slightly more extroverted....

Beautiful country, but I remember the food. Not just eating out, we were camping there, and just went into ordinary little shops wherever we happened to be. I don't think they have bad food in Italy. We have lots of it in the UK.
