What do you think about Milan, the italian city?

You want know what I think about Milan...well, I live in Genoa and I'm Italian, so I can tell U the truth.
Milan is the perfect city, where a student, a man, a woman anyone can have more than the normal "have fun": fashion club, fashion shops, handsome guys and hot girls (most of them are models, who live-work there).
So came here and have a nice time :-D !
I will go to Milan on 28 June....see there?! ;-p

It is the most uninteresting, unispiring city in Italy, it bears a remarkable resemblance to Manchester (UK).

I lived and worked in Milan for many years and can tell you:
- The traffic sucks
- The city is dirty
- Many Lombards are racist
- The metro is dirty!!!
- The idroscalo (Milan's artificial lake) is crowded, full of yahoos, and there are too many mosquitoes.
+ I have some great friends there
+ I like to party in Milan
+ There are some good museums and of course a world class theater too.
+ There are some good sushi bars and I enjoy buying etghnic food stuffs in China town.
+ The metro system is very good (but dirty)
+ It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't like to live there.

many people are envious and so they think that this beautiful city is polluted and gray...

in milan there are a lot of people.....A LOT!!!!!!!!
there are a lot of shops in street "los angeles".....
it's nice, but it's frenetic...(<-------- what is the right vocabulary???????) :):):):) there is a lot of caos......

My friends and I have been to Milan... it's not as good as people say, but here's a fair evaluation for you:
if you're rich and living in the rich areas, it's a great place to be, with fashion, parks and the Quadilatero, a very expensive shopping area with four lanes of shops.
if you're poor or middle class and live in the suburbs or outside of the rich person's district, it's actually quite shabby, dirty and unhappy. In fact, as one of the other answers said, it is indeed like Manchester! (I live in Manchester)

Nonetheless, if you're Catholic, the famous Da Vinci's last supper is there and there are many beautiful, lovely churches. There's the Duomo, Santa Marie delle Grazie and more. I would say that overall it'll be quite a nice place to visit.

Actually i don't like this city. Of course, here i have friends, favourite shops and so on, but i don't like it. Sometimes is boring, the disco's are the same (exept the Rolling Stone where sometime there's rock music) and is a very unsafe city! We say: if you live in milano, you can go anywhere!"

irishdivil, no one of those industries are near Milan, sorry.
Fiat is in Torino, Ferrari and Bugatti near Modena and Lamborghini near Bologna.

Hi, I live near Venice but I've been several times in Milan. Milan is one of the uglyest city in Italy..it's polluted, grey and superficial...but it's the second biggest city of my country so if you are into fashion, food and party you will find what yo're looking for. Italian fashion born in Milan..also street fashion..so thgis city is always some month ahead the entire country. People of my region consider Milan people as snob and not funny bit I think you'll find out how people are by going there. ciao ciao

Well maybe some research is called for on the web, maybe, but Milano is a great city known for its fashion industry and its culture but also a very industrial area, Ferrari, Lambourgini, Buggati and Fiat all have factories near Milan. Its a great place enjoy.

it's surely the worst city of Italy... but it s very very big (it's a 9 million people area) and u can find everything in it, i don't like it but i will go to live there for university...
anyway, u ll find a lot of things to do, but as buildings, pollution, history, happyness, it's crap
