It depends if you are going to rent at a train station, airport or just in the city itself. There are several dependable Italian rental car companies and most large cities in Italy have American car rental companies available as well (Hertz, etc.). If you can add a detail as to where you are going to rent it, how you are going to get to Florence, etc., then I can help further. Many airlines also have discounts and can make the car rental reservation for you.

These guys are by far the best. They are the cheapest and definitely the most reliable http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-2373813-10371324

Italy has all the major car rental companies that you may have back home. You may find it less expansive to book the car right from where you are.
