From yr question it seems you want we explain you what is a ZIP code. Since it can't be that I guess you want to know if in Italy there is the correspondent of ZIP code.
Yes, we do have it and it's named CAP (Codice Avviamento Postale that translated is Addressing postal code).
It's a five-digit number distinguishing any single Italian location having at least one Post Office.The here below listed 27 biggest towns have a CAP that's also identifying the postal areas inside the city :
Ancona, Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Brescia, Cagliari, Catania, Firenze, Genova, La Spezia, Livorno, Messina, Milano, Napoli, Padova, Palermo, Perugia, Pescara, Pisa, Reggio di Calabria, Roma, Salerno, Torino, Trieste, Venezia, Verbania, Verona.
