We have a lot of foreign people living here. I like the north better but I also know that living here has a lot of advantages. Take Pisa for example, my city. It's on the coast, 20 minutes from the beaches. The water is not that bad, especially near Livorno, 30 minutes away from Pisa. We have sand and rocks as well. The weather is good any time of the year. The temps never drop belove zero, it may snow in Florence during the winter but never here. It's located no more than 4-5 hours away from the most important places all around, included France and the blue coast. The food is good, the scenaries are beautiful, especially if you like hills. The ones surrounding Siena are famous and very beautiful. We also have a lot of typical small vilages on the hills like San Gimignano and Volterra. Unlike the north of italy where people work harder, we have a more relaxed attitude but not too much, like in the south for example. On the whole living here is not that bad. |

I think that people go there to visit and live because it is absolutely gorgeous! My favorite part of Italy for sure. Amazing scenary and sites, great food, etc.
Have you seen "Under the Tuscan sun" ? Check it out, if not |

The food, the food and the food. Did i mention the food? Plus places like Florence, Pisa, and Siena have a lot of history, and there's also the gorgeous Tuscan hill towns like San Gimignano, Assisi, Civita di Bagnoregio.
I've only visited (twice), but I could see myself living there too. |
