I asked one a day or two ago about maps of Italy. All the answers were great, but I am finding it too hard to look around at what I want to see in only the area of my computer screen.

If you're looking for hotels try www.nycerome.com. I got a great deal on that site at peak season. I like it because you choose your hotel by which area you want to stay in. If you don't know I recommend staying away from Termini (where the train station is) & the rest of the outskirts. Stay somewhere more in the center because you're closer to all the sites you want to see. Also once you narrow down to a few hotels check them out on www.tripadvisor.com. Other travellers rate their experiences & can really help you make your choice (i.e. 1 hotel I was looking at was up the street from a club & everyone who rated the hotel said the noise kept them up all night).
If you're going to other Italian cities you can also use the nyce site. Just plug in the city name after nyce (i.e. www.nycevenice.com).
