What is something fun to do in Rome for a day? The tour includes museums, historical sites already.?

We are 4 girls aged 17, and are on a trip with our art class, and would like to hang with people our own age.

Well, I've passed your age since a bit of years (i'm 30), but maybe I'll be able to give you some good suggestions.

If you're an art student i guess you'd love to see the Vatican: St. Peter's Basilique and his Dome (you can see all Rome from there), and the Vatican Museums, with the Sistine Chapel and Raffaello "Athens' School".

The Basilique is for free, the Vatican Museums cost 8€ (10$, more or less), the climb to the dome costs 7€ if you want to go up with the elevator and then do 320 steps or 4€, if you feel able to go up on 551 steps.

But of course, if you like art, you'll be in the right city: you'll find it everywhere.

Instead, if you want to do a bit of shopping you can start from Piazza di Spagna, pass from Via Condotti (the street of high fashion stores) giving a look to the stores, and then go in Via del Corso (it's the street that crosses Via Condotti), where you'll find a lot of cheaper stores, to buy something cool.

If you need other info just ask.

For the user above: Piazza San Marco is in Venice, not in Rome.

You should check out the shopping around the Piazza del Spagnia (Spanish Steps). There's tons of great stores and the steps themselves are a great place for pictures. I went there with some friends on a school trip and had a great time. You can just window shop in stores like Prada, Gucci, Valentino, et cetera!

visit the colosseum, the forum, go see the "rome from the sky" attraction, see the Vatican, get some real, authentic Italian cuisine, go to a church service in Latin, visit the catacombs...
the possibilities are endless.
