What is the availability of public housing in Palau, Sardegna?

Additional Details
mtcazzopizzo, you're not even in the ball park. Maybe my question prompted you to go off about HUD homes and urban development, but you responded like a pretentious jerk. Get a life! I am not going to live in a hotel for two years with my family while i work there and I can afford a home or rental. Vai al prete, stronzo!

Hi! Are you US Navy? I live in La Maddalena; I can see Palau from where I'm sitting right now. If you are going to be stationed here with the Navy there are facilities here to assist you in locating a house or apartment to rent. I can't really speak specifically on the availability of housing as I have no clue how many places are vacant, but if you are not in the Navy, there are Italian agencies you may use to help you, like a realtor. If you don't mind commuting (bearing in mind I use the term "commute" loosely--NOTHING like in the States), there are other towns nearby Palau where you can seek housing as well; La Maddalena where I am being one of them (requires a ferry ride to get to Palau though), & Arzachena being the next nearest. Between the 3, you'll be able to find what you have in mind. :) I've been here for a little over 1 & 1/2 years now; glad to give you any other info you need if I have it! jmpalker@yahoo.com

There seems to be very little public housing in Palau. Palau is in the province of Sassari, so that is where you should start:

I.A.C.P. Istituto Autonomo Case Popolari di Sassari
Via Cervi, 12 - 07100 Sassari
079 221200

Also, unless you are an Italian citizen, I highly doubt that you will be able to obtain public housing. Here, in America, public housing is limited to American citizens with very low levels of income.

We would never pay for an Italian to live in a HUD house in Hawaii, why would the Italian state ever pay for a foreigner to live for free in Sardegna?

Have you considered getting a hotel? Honestly, if you cannot afford private housing, you shouldn't be going to Sardegna.

Good Luck!

Senti, testa di cazzo, avresti potuto dire "what is the availability of apartments in Palau, Sardegna?" ma, hai usato la parola "public" e c'e' una grande differenza.
