What is the best airline to fly on from LAX to Rome (Leonardo Da Vinci)?
I want to go to Rome this summer. I want to find the cheapest and nicest airline to fly on. What has the best customer service? Nicest fligt attendants? Overall the best?
I think Alitalia is beginning an LAX to FCO schedule in June. I'm not fond of the airline, but I like the thought of finally getting direct flights to Rome. I've also flown US AIrways out of LAX with the connection in Philadelphia and was relatively happy with those flights.

They use to fly direct from LAX to Milano but I don't think they do that any more, you have to either fly from Chicago,Boston, JFK New York, which basically mens you are going to have to fly to one of those cities to fly to Rome.

Try KLM

The cheapest flights depends on exactly when you want to go. There are no direct flights. When I've flown back to Italy from LAX, I prefer the direct flight from LAX to Zurich leaving LA at 7:30 pm and arriving in Zurich at 3:55 pm the next day (11h 25m flight time). It's a lot less likely to be affected by flight delays than flights either through Chicago or the US east coast. The flight to Rome leaves an hour and a half after the arrival of the flight from LAX.
