What is the cheapest city to live in Italy. And with the low budget how much I will have to spend per a month / day to stay in a hostel / cheap accommodation.?

no not milan! it's the most expensive! i'd say the south is the cheapest.

Probably some small town out side of Bari or Palermo. In any case you'll find cheap(er) digs the further south (of the Po River) you go.

I'll suggest you Rimini.

It isn't in south, but it is very cheap!

In south the life is less expansive, but the hotel and the turism in general isn't cheap!

I would say somewhere in southern Italy. The only problem is that they south has very high unemployment rates. In fact, a lot of southerners go to the north to work.

Staying with family is the cheapest way to visit Italy. If you don't have any family then I suggest staying at any pensione which is basically a bed & breakfast with a dinner thrown in. The cost will vary depending on the exchange rate.
