What is the cheapest website to buy airfare?

I know there is expedia and orbitz and stuff, but is there not so "known" ones especially good for Europe?

Try to look at many expedia is a good one, orbitz also but from europe you can check these ones:

www.bootsnall.com

www.travelzoo.com

www.sidestep.com

They're very very cheap.

Good♥Gyrl
Cheap is relative...all air fares are up because of fuel costs.

since you posted this in "italy" then i will give you an italian site:
www.zingarate.com
select the departure airport in "da ovunque..."
and the destination in "...a ovunque", then click "ok".
if there are low cost airlines doing that trip, they will find them!

If you are flying from June 1st to September 30, low fares are hard to find. Expect to pay between 750-1500+ for a round trip ticket to Italy during the summer months.

My advice. Get a cheap/low fare to London or Dublin. Then get on one of those low cost airlines like Ryanair or Easyjet (there are others too) and go to Italy that way (you'll fly into Ciampino) which is closer to the city too.

Easyjet flies to Ciampino (Rome) from Gatwick twice a day during the summer I think. Not sure about Ryanair.
