hello i'm italian . sure pizza margherita , spaghetti ,mandolino, pulcinella, or u can draw italian state and for every regions u can put a tipical product ( piemonte: wine - lombardia: ferrari - val d'aosta :snow veneto: venice with "gondola" or place s.marco , ................. we have 21 regions)....ps : sorry 4 my english!

i would use the grapevine idea as a border and then pasta, which is typical there. =D you could also color the background as the italian flag. or make little italian flags all over. (green, white, red)

grape vines are about as Italian as you can get and still remain decent.

The three things Italia is known for (according to me):

1.) Great Food
2.) Great People
3.) Great Romance!

In order to bring all of these together in one logo i think you should show a picture of a couple (in love) eating great Italian food in a romantic location in Italia. Some examples of locations are the Grand Canal, Portofino, Amalfi Coast..... basically anywhere in Italy! I hope you have fun with the project. Good Luck!
