Adventure is a good enough purpose for travelling if nothing else. I'm an occasional traveller but only because I don't have enough money to do it more.

The fun of it is in planning where to go, and in so doing searching the places and learning about them. Anticipation is one of the biggest parts in it all. And then there is the experience of beautiful unique scenery and all of the environment including restaurants, culture, residential areas. It can be inspiring and an ambition like wanting to swim in all of the oceans of the world etc....

I think it is a very personal thing, and responses will reflect that.

It's cool to see the rest of the planet. It's also nice to experience different cultures and foods. It gets me out of my day to day grind.

Traveling is like a high for me. It's important to see how other people around the world. I love experiencing new cultures, food, and people, and I love seeing famous sites that some only get to read about.

For me it is to see the rest of the world as there is so much beauty to see. I like natural scenery the best like Yosemite or the Grand Canyon. But I love seeing old places and historical places too., I do a lot of cruising as it is very relaxing.

I like to travel because it gives me something new to look at and see. The historical sites are my favorite because it's hard to believe that hundreds or thousands of years ago something was going on or being built here. I love to learn and see new places and people.
