2000 years ago a land named Dacia (Romania in our days), was occupied by Romans soldiers. Some of them remained in Dacia and had families. The two peoples mixed (Romans and Daces) formed the Romanians.

ladybird
No, it's just a coincidence that these two words are spelled alike. Rome is a city in Italy. Romania, which is also spelled Rumania, is a country.
