Most probably september is the best month ever to visit Italy, of course in the south, where i live... It is nice because the weather is dry and not too hot, there are not too many tourist anymore and so the traffic is not that much anymore. I love it, take the chance and visit one of the best country in the world... ciao

I went to Venice for my 21st a few years ago in September and the weather was great. Hot but not too hot, bad thunder storms though

Depends on where in Italy-North or South?
It varies drastically. But in general, September ought to be lovely-hotter in the South.

september is the ideal time to go to italy, well around rome anyway, it's still hot enough to go around in shorts and t-shirts but not so uncomfortably hot that you can't walk around and enjoy yourself.
