If I had to pick a big town, Florence, hands down. I have never fallen in love quite like I did there. I still get "homesick" for it even though is has been almost a year since I visited.
As far as smaller towns, I love Spoleto! The charm, scenery, people, and access to other places made it fun. It was a great choice for us to set up camp and explore Italy from there. |

I've been to a few places in Italy. Rome, Florence, Assisi, Naples, Venice, and Turin. All of them were very beautiful, but I'm going to have to go with Assisi. It is everything you would imagine about small town Italy....it is fantastic. My second favorite would be Rome. It is just fabulous here....no words to describe it. |

Rimini. I was there in the summer of '91, when I was 13. I've got great memories of it. Like I said, though, it was during the Summer and I'm all about the beach. However, I'll doubt you'll be seeing too many exposed female breasts there--you gotta hit the French Riviera for that. |
