First, where are you from? If you're an EU citizen, you have the right to live and work within the EU. There are very few available jobs, but depending on your qualifications, you could look into teaching English for one of he schools here. The pay won't be much, but they tend to hire young people on short term contracts when there are openings. If you're not from the EU, it becomes much more difficult. You would need a visa that allows you to live and work here. Generally, to get a work permit, you need special skills that can't be readily duplicated by an EU citizen. It is illegal for an Italian family to hire someone from outside the EU as an au pair, for example, becaus there are plenty of EU citizens capable of doing this kind of work.
With the economy right now, it would be very difficult to find available jobs even if you spoke Italian. Not knowing Italian opportunities will be extremely limited.
A good resource to research this type of move is the expat websites: http://www.expatsinitaly.com/
You can find Italian visa information here: http://www.esteri.it/visti/index_eng.asp |

be an Au Pere
you should go to this site Aupair-agency.com it's basically a free agency that matches you up with families that they think you would be compatible with. All your info is kept confidential and they send it directly to the families. I trust it. |

Come to my house as a carer.
Scherzo, many foreigners come here and many work in restaurants or hotels in areas of sea or tourist. (Maid, washing dishes, cleaning lady)
If you know the language well enough you can also do the job in stores.
Although it is not the right time to find a job here in Italy should not be too difficult to find it, just settle.
Ciao I'm italian and i live here
