Those "ITALIA" printed shirts or jackets. It's really retro, especially if you get like the green or white colors.

and then small things like....a postcard from each city visited, rocks, wine/beer bottle labels, fliers for clubs and other events....to organize into a scrapbook.

Some nice jewelry. A shot glass is also a must. Some art prints or replicas. Anything that has to do with the Raphael Angels painting, you know the one with the two chubby littel Angels. I love that painting! They have everything, umbrellas, lipstick cases, mousepads, pens, jewelry boxes. I just love ITALY! There is so many beautiful things. |

If you plan on coming back soon bring some fresh Italian cheese.Yo know food in Europe is fresher meaning no preservatives like food in America. Or if you think that is stupid you can bring back a nice outfit or something like that you'll bring a different style when you come back. |

Depends on where you are going. In Rome, I bought the latest fashions. In Venice, I stocked up on lace tablecloths, and lots and lots of Murano GLASS! Glass and gold jewelry, bowls, vases -- Murano is fascinating. Also, you can find Venetian masks too. In Bologna, you can buy shoes at the weekend flea market in the square -- dirt cheap. In Florence, the leather products are beautiful - purses belts, etc. Also, you can buy luxury watches at decent prices on the PonteVecchio bridge stores. |
