It depends om WHEN you mean to visit Milan ... now (in July and August) it's almost empty which means that it's easier to get around (no crowds, no traffic) but that most shops are closed for summer vacation (not much shopping, I'm afraid).
Anyway, there are many places you can visit:
- Duomo
- Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio
- Castello Sforzesco
- Santa Maria delle Grazie
- Cenacolo di Leonardo da Vinci
.. plus many other churches and monuments that you will find on your way ...

If you want to go out of Milan, go to Como and visit its lake (it takes about 1 hour by car).

Have fun!!!!

--> It's terribly hot and sticky, so consider this for your trip

i have been quite a number of times.

1. visit the Duomo - especially up on the rooftop
2. leave and go to some other city or town as soon as you're done visiting the Duomo

no middle name
duomo, the last supper, castello sforzesco, the Navigli
As for restaurants, bars and discos u can visit the Gattopardo (beautiful); the Hollywood discoteque; Nottingham Forest (awesome!); Old Fashion (a disco club); Plastic (another disco club)!
Milan is beautiful, enjoy urself!

Try : 1.The Dome-is gorgeous-the Plaza in front of it and the Gallery Umberto.
2.The Scala Opera-near the Dome
3.The Palace Sforzesco
4.The church Santa Maria delli Angeli-you can see here "The holly dinner" by Leonardo Da Vinci.
5.Shopping.
Enjoy your trip !

You must visit the "Duomo" - it is the city's most famous artistic and religious monument. The plaza around the Duomo is also great for shopping, but the latest and greatest fashions can be found in
Montenapoleone.
Then there's the Lago di Como - one of the most beautiful scenery escapes as you are touring the area of Milan.
Enjoy!

If you're there for a good amount of time, travel outside of Milan. Milan, like most looks and feels like any big city. To get a real Italian feel, go to a smaller place. Bergamo is nice, anthing between there. Go to the lakes!
