We're stationed in Naples, and it's a wonderful city!
Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius are both right here. The second largest "Colosseum" is here, obviously the first being in Rome. Near by is the island of Capri, Sorrento is near by and a great place for crafts and art. And the Amalfi Coast is gorgeous!
There is plenty to do and see here. This place is full of amazing history! Be sure and tour Pompeii! Have a safe trip. |

There's a museum in Naples that is good. It's also rumored to be the birthplace of pizza.
Its a very crowded, dirty, crime-ridden city, however there is a lot near Naples.
Personally, I'd stay in Sorento and visit Naples from there. Also you can go to Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, and the Amalfi coast. Definitely go to Positano. Some people like Capri. |
