What would be a cool gift to bring to Italy for friends who are hosting me on vacation? They are hip & 30ish.

My friends have lived in the US. The are very familiar with American products and fashion. They are cool and hip and I want to bring something for them that is too expensive or difficult to get themselves in Italy. The gifts could be clothing, or jewelry, or something for their homes. I need ideas for both male and female adults. Cost for the gifts is not much of a concern - they are good friends and will be gracious hosts to me.

Levis are expensive there, as is Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren or Polo brand or Nike- and all are liked. IPod are very trendy there and are (using the conversion rates) like 200$ more than here so are coveted-an IPod bought here works there. California wine is expensive there.

Don't bother with clothes or jewelry, as Italian goods are superior. Get them something with U.S. brand label on them.

You may think this is silly, a cellphone would be the ideal gift.In the US or Canada where I live you can get a good cell phone (3band) next to nothing but in Italy you pay a fortune!!
I just bought one for my boyfriends son to take back to Italy with him and his son loved it!!
I'm sure you know that in Italy they can't live without a cell phone, so I think it would be a great gift.

Good Luck!

italy is a more trendy place then US. You will find more things here with the label 'made in China' then in China itself. I suggest you take them a female or male (depending on which way they wanna swing. It will spice up there sex life and they will thank you for it
