Whats the average price for a souveneir, lunch, a bottle of water, or a gondola ride in Italy?

I need an idea of prices and costs of things in Italy.

It depends on what kind of souvenir you are looking for, where you plan on eating lunch and where you buy the bottle of water. The street vendors have some decent souvenirs for 2 - 10 euros. There will also be many shops selling souvenirs if you are in the tourist towns were you will have much to choose from. The gondola rides in Venice were around 25 euros if I remember correctly, but I'm sure you'll find different prices. Water will be about the same price it is here. I would suggest getting water somewhere other than the areas heavily populated with tourists, because the prices go up. For lunch, you can expect to spend anywhere from 4-5 euros for a couple of slices of pizza to around 18 euros for a sit down meal. With the vendors, you can easily get them to lower the price of the souvenirs with a bit of haggling, as well as the gondola rides I'm sure.

Have fun on your trip.

buy water in the local version of Safeway, Piggly Wiggly or Albertson's, or local grocery store (negozio d'alimentari) or whatever it is called where you are. It is cheaper. Buy liter sized bottles.

As far as gondola rides, sometimes the costs may be negotiable depending on the time of year -- especially if it is off-tourist season.

For souvenirs, shop around. Many of the best deals can be found off the main tourist area -- smaller Mom and Pop shops, flea markets. the only time that prices are not negotiable is if the vendor puts out a sign saying "prezzo fisse".

It depends where you are and how touristy the area is. You can get a pizza or calzone for about 6 Euros. This is a medium size pizza here. As for souveniers, it depends what you want to get. It could be anywhere from 1Euro-thousands of Euros. Gondola rides are about 99Euros. Hope this helps
