Whats the best time to visit italy? (weather wise:specific months would help alot)?

I would go in the Spring or fall. I live in Italy and this is why. The summers are really really hot and most places do not have AC so most americans are not to happy. If you go Dec-Feb it usually rains a lot you can still sight see but expect some rain everyday. Spring and Fall are good because its not tourist time so some of the prices are still lower in these citys.

The best time to visit Italy is either May - early June or September -early October when the weather is nicest. There are fewer tourists making it easier to get around with less waiting times at the popular attractions. Rather than Milan, I would consider Padova, Verona, and/or Garda Lake.

I live in Italy. the best time right now seems to be late spring. i mean may and june.
in winter, fall and summer (too) it often rains.
it depends on the year as well... in 2007 we had a warm winter and hot wet summer, but usually winters are very cold.

in general: the norther you go, the worst the weather is and the longest the winters are.

Anytime! But I lived in Rome for the late spring and winter months (August- December) and it was great because the tourism steadially went down making the city more acessable. But sometimes monuments are under repair during this time so you cant see them. Its a trade off

may is the best time... The weather is beatiful, flights and hotels are cheap.... May was my best choose for Venice and Rome...

I'd say skip Milan and stay in Rome an extra day. I like March, it's mid-light jacket weather in Venice and should be beautiful in Rome. Don't go when it is hot because you will be walking outside all day.

If you'll focus on museums, January is your best bet. There are not so much tourists around, and you can look around at your ease without people pushing you. In warmer months, queues are always scary, and even if you book in advance (always recommended), it is so crowded you can see almost nothing.

The best time to visit Italy is in the late summer. The temperature is like your eastern coast of the USA.
