Whats the name of traditional dress of italy?

Show all answers

Felicity???
There is no national traditional dress in Italy as it only became one country in the nineteenth century. There are different traditional costumes according to regions.

"I costumi tradizionali italiani" (traditional Italian costumes)
or
" I vestiti regionali e tradizionali d'Italia."(Regional and traditional Italian clothing)

There is no global name like "Sari" for Indian ladies, or "Kimono and Obi" for the Japanese.

Click the link below for an example of traditional costume of Gambatesa, Molise, Italy. <*-*>

We don't have any traditional clothes onestly.....but you'll understand, looking at the image I attached to you, that each region have one.....although they're quite similar!

for istance, this is what the akragas folk dance group, an italian folk group (from Agrigento, Sicily) puts on for the exhibitions....

anyway.....all our costumes, as you can see in the next pictures, are more or less similar....
