FLORENCE. I lived in Italy for a year..if you don't mind taking cabs basically every where you go then Rome is good. Rome is HUGE..I love big cities but even Rome was a little to big for me! If you're visiting Italy, stay in Florence-it's absolutely beautiful, from Florence you can take day trips to Pisa (45mins away), Sienna (45 mins away) Rome (1.5 hr away) Milan (3hrs away) etc...there is so much to do in Florence too! |

Rome definitly... I just came back from italy... I visited Positano and the Amalfi Coast... it was beautiful! breathe taking... we stayed in Sorrento and from there we took day trips to Positano and Amalfi Coast. I Suggest you visit these places because its absolutley amazing. You should look at Rick Steves Best of Italy 2008.. very very vey good guide book. Tells you everything. |
