I have been to Rome Venice and Milan and all three were great places to visit. Venice was a very busy place but amazing for its culture and scenes. I wouldnt want to stay too long there though so an overnight stay would be enough. Rome was so good, lots to and Milan also, also having lots of great shopping if you like that sort of thing. My preference out of these three, Rome I think. Food is fab too. |

Depends what you want. Can you add detail to your question?
Holidaying: the Adriatic coast is wonderful with some great "lidos"
Culture: Obvious places like Rome, Venice and Florence. Milan, Naples etc. too
Fun/ shopping: Milan (need a lot of money) |

rome- lots to see; colloseum, spanish steps, vatican city, trevi fountain ...and great shops resturants and night life
florance- great museems , statue of david, an hours train journey to pisa where you can see the leaning tower.
tuscany- gorgeous scenery, little towns to explore, great food
sicily- amazing beaches
capri- the best of all, its a little island paridise with lots to do and see and the best shops, has all the designers without the hustle and bustle that you get in milan!
avoid naples-very poor city lots of theft, muggings, begging and the sites are not that great. |
