Where can i go skiing close to Milano?
I'm in Milano on business is a few weeks and I want to go skiing on the weekend. Where shoudl I go? How should I get there? i would prefer NOT to drive i.e. bus/charter etc. Where should i stay. I have Saturday and most of Sunday as I fly back on Sunday evening.
Alpe di Mera (Scopello) and Alagna Valsesia are about 100 Km from Milan; there are buses (Baranzelli lines) which can bring you from outside Porta Garibaldi railway station in Milan straight to both resorts (Alagna is fifteen/twenty minutes after Alpe di Mera); or by train till Novara, then taking there a bus; or from Novara a train to Varallo Sesia, then a bus.

Hi. I'm from Milan. you can go to Trentino, it's not too far and you can reach the mountains by train (a couple of hours to get there)
From Milan you go to the Trento and then you get the Trento-Male.

Go south a bit. You'd enjoy skiing down the upper slopes of Mt. Killimanjaro.
