Where did the earthquake hit?

Im so sorry to anyone who got caught in this terrible disaster :(
But I really need to know where the earthquake hit, I know L'Aquila but is there anywhere else it hit?
My friend lives in a small town close to Naples, Its called Castello del Matese. I really need to know if hes okay, if the earthquake hit there.
Any help?

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Rome was closer to the quake's epicenter than Naples was. If Rome wasn't hit, than Naples and the surrounding villages should be fine. I'm guessing your friend is ok, but, if you don't take my word for it, email him yourself.

It happened in L'Aquila near Rome.So most likely no, because Naples is pretty far away from L'Aquila, so the chances are slim to none.

It's morning again in Italy
Hi! I'm Italian. The earthquake hit L'Aquila and the region of Abruzzo, whose L'Aquila is capital city. In other regions there are damages, but in Naples nobody is dead.

John
I'm sure he's okay! No, it only hit central Italy. I wish I was an expert on Italy because I don't know the location of Castello del Matese, sorry. Hope the source helps.
