Consider the opportunity to visit the city of Lecce...the heel of Italy (Salento, Apulia...find more info on wikipedia).

See you in Italy, then! ^_^

Hi from Italy. It's a wonderful country and you can do and visit many different thinks. First of all I would like to know your interests. You should choose a trip about art (Roma, Venice Florence), or food and wine (Tuscany, Umbria, Romagna, even if in Italy everywhere the food is wonderful), or sea (Napoli, Calabria, Amalfi coast, Sardinia, or Portovenere) or mountains (Trentino, Valle d'Aosta, Abruzzo). Or a trip that I suggest for people that like not to make the thing that all the turists do. We have a lot of little towns not too famous but very very beaytiful (Anagni for exemple). If you like the folk music and dance of Italy visit Puglia and go to dance the magic Tarantella. If you need more informations write me a mail

ok the biggest cities like rome, firenze, venezia...but go even in small town like perugia, parma, cremona, mantova, and also torino, it's not a small town but believe me it's amazing: it's full of art (barocco, liberty), full of music, and cool bar, disco, theater, and if you like esoterism you must come here because it's a magic city!

Rome, Florence, and Venice if you have plenty of time. If you have a week or less, concentrate on Rome. If you stay in one place, even for a few days, you get to "know" the folks in your immediate area and you feel a part of the city, if only for a short time. A day trip from Rome to Ostia Antica is nice. If you really have plenty of time, try the Amalfi Coast.

I loved Italy.

venice (it's magic, and near there there is also Verona, with the Juliet and Romeo's balcon), milan (if you are interested in fashion), florence( if you know who Dante is and if you like the Italian renaissance), Pisa(the tower is famous and it is very close to Florence), Rome (colossium is wonderful ) and the Vatican, Naples (during summer time is better but be careful to thieves!!)

then all Sicily and Sardinia are wonderful but they need to be visited alone!!!

You should visit Rome, Florence, and Aosta Valley. If you aren't staying in Rome for a long time, concentrate on visiting Rome and make it your top priority this way you can be able to experience all that Rome has to offer!
Enjoy yourself!

Tuscany is known for its landscapes and its artistic legacy. With these two attributes, I believe it can give you excellent inspiration for your novel. In addition, six Tuscan localities have been made UNESCO protected sites: the historical center of Florence (1982), the historical center of Siena (1995), the square of the Cathedral of Pisa (1987), the historical center of San Gimignano (1990), the historical center of Pienza (1996) and the Val d'Orcia (2004). I believe these beautiful UNESCO protected sites will delight you.

Positano is considered one of the most chic destinations in Europe. Two of its hotels, Il San Pietro and Le Sirenuse, are frequently cited as among the best in the world. This place has been featured in several films, including Only You (1994), and Under the Tuscan Sun (2003).

If you are true foot ball fan then you should go to Milan - the home of Inter & Milan....
If you do anything in Italy then it must be Rome. Everywhere else if important too but not as much as the once capital of the anciant world.

venice is lovely. plenty of history, museums, no roads there they use water buses which takes you to a beach resort in Lido di Jesolo which is beautiful resort with plenty of shops. Plenty of coffee shops and resturants to try the local; coffee and traditional stone bread pizza. Gondala boat down the lagoon, very smelly but very beautiful.
