North east of the country and the "ocean" you are talking about is Mar Adriatico unfortunatly very brown and grease in that area and full of industrials scums, Venice is quite near to Slovenia and Austria as well the weather is continental (very hot and sultry in summer, very cold and humid in winter)....more clear now?

ferro84
It's in the North-east of Italy on the Adriatic sea.

Hi I'm from Naples, Italy. Venice is in the North-East of my country, teh sea in front of Venice is called Adriatic sea, that is a part of the Mediterrenean Sea. The region of Venice is called Veneto, that is near other italian regions called Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige. Venice is about 2 car hours from Slovenia and Austria. Ok?
