I've a friend living in TROPEA , Calabria (south Italy), where sea and beach are wonderful. She rents nice flats with garden not far from sea, but not really on the beach. The place in very quiet, in the middle of nature; but you need to rent a car there. In june the flat in very cheap, about 200 euro/week.
