hi, i'm italian and i advice you to go to rome. it's a beautiful city, there are really a lot of monuments and places to visit. maybe in June it will be quite hot but the weather will be certainly nice. food is very good everywhere in italy (a part macdonald!!).
alghero is another beautiful place in sardinia, the sea is like caribbean but it could be very expensive (it is a place for famous people).
pisa is nice too, and near pisa there are other places to visit in tuscany, which is according to me the most beautiful country! |

Definately Rome and Venice. There is so much to do and see that you will not believe it. My favorite place was Rome. Milan is nice, but expensive and is a big city...not my favorite. Turin was actually a very cool place and not overly expensive. Really you cannot go wrong anywhere. Have you thought of going to The Lakes, by Bellagio. It is only an hour train ride from Milan and sooooo worth it. There is a little town called Varenna that I loved. Good luck, have fun...I am envious. |

I would choose Sicily. From the beautiful beaches, great food, friendly people, and amazing sights and attractions, you'll love it.

You HAVE to try to visit Assisi! My hotel was located on top of Mount Subasio (where the actual town of Assisi is located) and it was GORGEOUS! St. Francis' Basillica as well as St. Claires is located there. Just roaming around the small town itself was fun. There are so many little shops and restraunts. Here's some pictures from the top of the mountain looking out.
