Where should I go in Italy for a couple days?

Going there for a week with my cousin. Arriving in Rome, then he's going to visit his dad in some podunk villa for 5 days (Amandola). I've got 2 days on my own before we meet again in Florence for some raging partying. Whaddya think? Just go to Florence and scope it out on my own? Or is there another city that would be cool, close to either Florence or Rome?

Near Florence, in Tuscany you can go to Pisa, to see the Leaning Tower and the university. Sienna is a great historic city, where the Palio is held every year. Via Reggio is a very nice beach community, and the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini.

Near Rome, there is always Ostia and the Castelli Romani. Be sure to check out Castelgondolfo, which is a beautiful small town on a lake, where the pope has a summer home.

If you can, head south from Rome and visit Caserta, to see the Palazzo Reale, and then to the Amalfi Coast. From there you can see Sorrento, Pompeii and Positano, before making your way to Naples.

Buon Viaggio!

Florence!!!!!!!!!!!!!For Sure......It's AMAZING!

If you have never been there before go definitely to Florence.
2 days are the perfect time to discover this awesome city either by your own (that I suggest) or a guided tour (if you like this better). However Florence is not that big or let's say better the top highlights are all in a reasonable distance; you can walk the medieval centre and step by step all its secrete spots will be revealed to yr eyes.
Listen to me, don't look for any different location.
You'll never forget this experience.

Jfahd,
I have included a few sites for you to check out. They include places to see, things to do, places to stay, guidebooks and planners, arts, restaurants, museums, monuments and places to see. This sounds like fun to me. You might want to go one your own rather than meeting up with your cousin at all! Have a great time.
Thanks,
Eds

'Firenze'('Florence').Beautiful.Get as much time there as you can.

Rome is an awesome place to go. There are so many places to see. Florence is the same. If you can go alittle more south of rome, I would go to Pompeii. The "outdoor museum" is amazing, you can actually see the people that are still covered in ash from the volcano. Have a great time!

Rome is a huge city and if you like history u can spend whole week in rome. I think u know the saying "Rome was not built in one day' This sentence tell everything abt how beautiful the city would be.

Go to Puglia in the South-Eastern part of the country, I've heard it's really nice. There is a particular town in which all the roofs of the houses are pointed, ask you cousin. Or you can visit my cousin, she lives in Rome...
