Where would you go for 13 days in Italy?

Hi,

I am landing in Milan in the end of May and I leave from Rome in june.
Where would you go if you had 13 days? and how many days in each city?
I am looking to do 3 days of beach chilling vacation where the sea water is warm enought to go swimming. I am looking to see things but also to chill and relax.

First time in italy.

Thank You!

i would head straight to cinque terre (5 lands). then into pisa then of to rome. this should work well if your landing in milan.

If you travel by train (based on intercity trains)
Give yourself one day in Milan.
1 daytrip to Liguria and Cinque Terre if you like
3 h. to get to Venice for a day or 2
3 hours to get to Florence for a day or 2
1 day trip to Siena and Tuscan countryside
2 hours to get to Rome for 2 days
2 hours to get to Naples for 1 day
From Naples take you seaside time in Capri or the Riviera amalfitana
Than back to Rome to leave.
Have fun, take care

Start at Rome, spend a few days there, then take the train to Florence, then Lucca (3 days), Cinque Terre is a must (3 days, beach time and this side of the coast is warm, Portofino as well) again by train, and then head for Pisa, and Milan for a day (you can skip if you don't like museums and big cities), then Verona (1 day) and Venice a few days. You can take the train back to Rome direct, it's quick.. or if your plane will be taking off from Rome back home.. then when you arrive take the train to Florence directly and take your last 2 days in Rome.

I had a similar time period in Italy...I went to Verona which is lovely, Venice ( I had 2 nights but its a small city and 1 night is fine), Florence is lovely and is close to pisa and a lovely town called Lucca.
I had 3 nights in Rome and that included a day tour to Pompeii which was great.
Bologna is lovely but I did nto have much time here eg an afternoon
Siena is also lovely
