Ferrari Girl
In December...since its winter and I LOVE to snowboard I will go to Dolomites, in the Italian Alps and around Turin. There are also smaller and less expensive resorts in the Appennines and in Sicily.

I will also go visit Milan, were the official opening of La Scala Opera season is.

I personally LOVE Rome, but I normally visit these hometowns, were my relatives live;
*Florence *Ortisei
*Merano *Trento
*Rovereto *Treviso (*Underwater homes!)
*Tolmezzo *Pordenone *Udine

You can go ahead and visit ITALIAN DESIGN boutiques and museums: with Alessi cutlery, Bialettli's Moka Express, Chritophe Pilet, The Daffy Difusa, Pininfarina's Streamlined (form for the Ferrari Testarossa 1986!) and many more!

Now I'd LIKE to tell you about the Restaurants, Wines and Food to choose:
*El Gato Restaurant
*Alberto Ciarla Ristorante
*Rosticcerie
YOU CAN NEVER DENY ITS GREAT TASTY FOOD!!!
From pastas, pizzas, to roasted chicken to the salads and panini.
Panini=bread/rolls
Gelato=Ice Cream (Gelateria)
A good PASTICCERIA (Bakery) has a dazzling variety of sweet, savory pastries, cakes and cookies...yumm!

In the SOUTH you will eat luch at around 1pm and 2:30pm
Dinner is about 8pm and goes on until 11pm...it is NOT unusual to see tables filled for lunch at 4pm and staying out later after Midnight!
My personal FAVORITE WINES:
*Moscato d'Asti
*Vernaccia di San Gimignano
*Vino Nobile di Montelpuciano
*Brunello di Montalcino
*Chianti Classico
*Bianco di Custoza
*Collio Pinot Bianco
*Barber d'Alba
*Dolcetto
*Barolo

PERSONAL FAVORITE FOOD FROM *MY UNCLES* RISTORANTE:
*Ossobuco
*Fagiano Tartufatu
*Risi e Bisi
*Spaghetti alle Vongole
*Fegato alla Veneziana
*Polenta
*Risoto all Milanese
*Trenette al Pesto
*Pansoti with Walnut Sauce
*Panzanella
*Crostini
*Spaghetti al Ragu
*Cannelloni
*Baccala
*Bistecca alla Fiorentina
*Scottiglia di Cingbiale
FAVORITE DESSERT AT UNCLES RISTORANTE:
*Torta di Limone
*Torta di Riso
*Panforte
*Ricciarelli
*Cantucci
*Tiramisu
*Gelati
*Zabaione
*Panettone
*Torta di nocciole
*Amaretti

NOW MY FRIEND...SORRY FOR WRITTING THIS MUCH...ITALY IS, WAS, AND WILL BE (CONTINUE) TO BE MY HOME...IF YOU NEED OR WANT TO KNOW MORE OF WHAT I WROTE HERE TO YOU....ADVISE OF ANY KIND OF WINES AND WHAT FOODS TO EAT IT WITH...LET ME KNOW...E-MAIL ME OR JUST ASK ME IN MY "WINE" QUESTION...GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN...THAT IS IF YOU ARE GOING TO VISIT MI ITALIA!

Venice definitely! it is a marvelous city. It is a fairy tale place, full of canals and beautiful buildings. You can ride a gondola along the canals, visit the piazza de san marco, the san marco cathedrals and other beautiful cathedrals. There is lots to do in venice, though a day trip is enough to give you the essence of the place. It is a magical city!

When I went in March, we went to Firenze, Venezia, Siena, Torino (or Turin), Rome, and Francavilla Fontana (small town in the "heel of the boot" of Italy). I honestly think Rome is overrated- I mean, yes, its nice and famous obviously, but I loved Torino and Francavilla so much more.

Anywhere in Tuscany, which of course includes the already mentioned Firenze (or Florence) which is beautiful.

And hopefully you meant Italy. Not some other country called Itlay.

Well, I've already visited Rome, Florence, and Assisi. All three were great but I think I liked Assisi best...not as many tourists. My next trip though to Italy I think I would want to visit Naples...very beautiful, but then again all of Italy is beautiful.

Napoli, it's the city of love. :)
