Rome rome rome rome!! only Rome!! Milan is the most fashionable city in the world!! If you like art of course Rome is the Best but in Milan you can have a "night-life"! Well you are guys and I think you have to enjoy!!! If you go to Rome you'll be stressed trying to visit all the monuments, but in Milan you''ll have time to "sit" and enjoy the atmosphere, maybe in a pub, in a disco!!
PS (I also think Roman people are country bumpkin)

Now I give you some information about the city, by another answer I gave:

Hi I'm from Milan, I know Milan is maybe a little city, but also beautiful in my view...Well in Milan there are some landmarks to visit, but Milan must be lived! It's the fashion capital and there are many, maybe too many, shops. You can get a hotel in the quarter of Fiera or Navigli, very near to the center. You can take the "tram", the orange streetcars, and go to visit the center: Duomo (the big church, principal monument of the city in gothic style) and the VittorioEmanueleGallery, an enourm gallery with a gold dome, with very good restaurants and the seven stars hotel!! then you can walk on Montenapoleone road, the most fashionable street in Italy, full of Armani, D&G, Valentino, Cavalli shops. If you have time you can go to the SCALA theatre, the most famous opera in the world. Then you must visit the Castello Sforzesco, an enourm castle, very near to the center (you can arrive here also by walk from Duomo). If you are interested in pubs, nightclubs, bars you can get an hotel in Navigli quarter, in the near south of the city, where you can also have dinner on a boot in the canal (naviglio)!! In the matter of museums you can visit the "Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica" and the "Pinacoteca di Brera", and if you go (and I advise to go) to Sant' Ambrogio/Sant'Agostino quarter you can visit the church of Santa Maria Delle Grazie, where there's the Leonardo's wall painting: Il Cenacolo or L'ultima Cena, one of the most famous. Well you can decide by yourself, and for many other informations you can buy a tour guide of the city, for restaurants, hotels, ecc... Bye (and sorry for my english)!!!

Rome and Florence to me. Especially in order to find gorgeous Italian men. Trust me.
Rome is amazing. Don't forget to pay a visit to the Trevi Fountain. Legend has it, if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the Trevi Fountain you will one day return. It worked for me. Must see places are the Forum and Coliseum ruins, Vatican City and St. Peters Basilica. For Rome you're gonna need another good week. I can suggest this this page dedicated to Rome hotels in particular http://www.scoobit.com/accommodations-rome-hotels.php I stayed at the third hotel on the left. It was a clean, well located and nicely staffed hotel. Not over-priced.
Next Italian stop, Florence. Plan at least five days in Florence. You will be able to visit Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, its Duomo (cathedral), the Baptistry (its exterior made of green and white marble are really famous) and the Ponte Vecchio (old bridge). Florence isn't a huge city, you're have gonna a great time and a good idea of how the city really is. You won't be able to have a full visit of Uffizi in Florence maybe, but you can choose certain rooms: e.g. Leonardo or Michelangelo. Keep in mind Uffizi timetable Tuesday-Sunday, 8:15 am - 6:50 pm. If you're looking for a good hotel in Florence go to http://www.scoobit.com/florence-hotel.php I went to the third hotel on the left. Very nice indeed. Scoobit.com is to me the best website for hotels in Italy. You can book on line and there are no booking fees.

You MUST go to Rimini, in Adriatic coast, but in summer, because in Rimini there are many discos and pub, open all night, many boys and girls.
If you would like to have a big nightout, Rimini is the best place.
Rome and Florence, also Verona, are beautiful city, but for turists, not only for fun.
Take a look about Rimini, that is the most enjoyable city for boys in Italy

Jimmy
Sicily has all the charm of Rome without crowds of tourists. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, great cafes and restaurants. Oh and lots of gorgeous Italian men ... http://www.beauty-and-romance-of-sicily.com/info-on-sicily.html

Florence! I went there it was amazing. Spectacular! We had lots to do for a week. Lots of tourist so we were not alone. Good luck choosing!

You DO want to go to Florence. Because it is small, manageable and there are lots of young stylish people, a good range of nightclubs and a wide mix of people. You won't find a better dressed Italian than a Florentine.

It's also not hectic like Rome, and you get to see some of the most amazing architecture in the World. What's more, it's the only city which, when you tell people you've been, people just melt in front of you and wish they could have gone to. Everyone's been to Rome, everyone dreams of Florence.

There are even a range of music festivals like Pelago or cultural events like the crafts fairs to enjoy. What are yoiu waiting for?

Florence. It is one of the bigger cities, and you cannot get lost. Use il Duomo or the Arno and Ponte Vecchio as landmarks. They have everything you are looking for. Rome is nice, but it is way too big.

Rome is hot, expensive, very big, and noisy. It also covers a large area. Not sure about the night life but watch out for the bottom pinchers and wallet theives. Italian men also think UK women are cheap so be prepared for some macho bullsh*t
