There is a podcast that teaches Italian. It's called Italians Podcast and there is a new lesson every week. You can find it on iTunes.

Use books from the library, find an Italian friend and swap help.

MaryBeth
Find a friend from Italy!

MY EX INLAWS TAUGHT ME BUT AFTER MY DIVORCE I DIDN'T USE IT ANYMORE SO I LOST IT. YOUR BEST BET IS TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE THAT SPEAK IT AND LET THEM TEACH YOU

I was born to Italian parents but even though I learned to SPEAK italian it was hard to write it or read it. .. I use to chat on Italian sites with a traslator handy and that has helped me a lot!
