I am Italian (now I live in los angeles) but I am originally from a village near the Lake Garda, I recommend "LAZISE" it is a very nice place!or Peschiera del Garda, but Lazise is my first choice!
Lazise is near to the Verona's airport.

ciao ciao

Peschiera del garda is fairly quiet, apart from the noise from Canevaworld. It is close to Verona airport, and it has the advantage of a Railway Station, while road traffic largely avoids it. That whole corner of the lake is quiet except for Sirmione. The western side of the lake is busier and more built-up than the eastern side. The scenery at the northern end is completely different to the southern end. If you want beaches you need to stay in the south or west as the north is the start of the Alps.
