I go to Italy twice a year, just returned from Sardegna where the sea was wonderful. Sicily has also great sea water. i do not like the sea and the beaches of the adriatic coast from Venice to Marche. beaches are too manicured and crammed full with people laying side by side like sardines...sea water is like cloudy soup!

We're hoping to go to Italy this year or early next year. Don't know much about the sea though. I don't like going in the sea anyway and sometimes it's full of poop. We'll be mainly sightseeing, eating and drinking the red stuff. Can't wait.
