Why does Italy have only Italian restaurants? |
There is no choice here. It's either pizza or pasta every day. Boring. |

When I went to Italy I ate fish, steak, and seafood. There are also stores so you can buy what you want to eat. |

Having lived and traveled extensively in Italy, I can assure you that major cities like Rome, Milan, and many others have a wide selection of international cuisine available. I have eaten everything from Indian, to French, to Turkish food in Rome alone, and there are Chinese, Japanese, and Thai restaurants in abundance. I think you need to look around a little more! |

I don't know where you visited in Italy or who told you this but there are many ethnic restaurants and fastfoods all over the place, even in small cities.
Italians eat Italian food everyday and they don't find it boring because Italian cooking is not all about pizza or pasta, that's very restrictive. You cannot say that US cooking is all pancakes and hamburgers, isn't it? Just take a look to any Italian cookbook or Italian restaurant menu and you will realize that there are so many choices!! |

you're just stereotyping.
i live in rome and i eat sushi quite often, but i've also gone to an indian, chinese, mongolian, mexican, arabian and spanish restaurant....see?we don't have just pizza and pasta.
but,the question u should ask yourself, instead, is: why is it that in italy they mostly have italian restaurant.....and the same thing happens in the US (and everywhere)as well?and the answer would be: because italian cusine is good....
or maybe,if u prefer,u should wonder why is it that in italy we have loadsa italian restaurants but no one on earth has even heard about american restaurants (not just abroad but not even in the states)? and the answers would be:
1) because hamburger-and-the-fattest-things-u-can-
find-to-put-in-it aren't FOOD
2) because McDonalds & co. aren't restaurant,
3)because no1 would go there anyways. |
