Will be travelling from Pisa to Florence by train over the next few weeks.?
Can anyone tell me if the journey is worth a book or a camera. IS the scenery any good or is it just built up areas?
went from florence to pisa a few weeks ago, had the camera ready but didnt take any pictures, the scenery is great, much the same as what im used to seeing further south.
mainly green, few tunnels, not much built up area just small villages

I have traveled many times from Pisa to Florence. It is an ok journey. I think everything in Italy is beautiful. I would reccomend bringing a book because you could get bored if you don't care too much about looking at tuscany. I don't think you will need a camera because it wont look to good from the train anyway. I love Florence! You will defiently need a camera when you get to Florence.

I would agree with Tara you will need a book as not all the journey can be spent with a camera pressed to the window.

Bring both. The scenery is interesting, but it is monotonous. There is no way you can fill the whole time with pictures.
