We had great fun in Italy.
All cities were great and different.
I like Cinque Terre area because of the beautiful scenery. I always want to visit a little town on the cliff next to the Mediterranean. We stayed in Manarola which was not too busy. The hotel was good with fantastic view. We enjoyed tasty seafood in the area. The hike along the sea between different towns was relaxing and spectacular. The trail was really nice and well kept. The ferry ride was also memorable giving a totally different perspective of the area. When it was a little hot and we were tired, it was nice to just catch a train ride back to our town. Swimming in the Mediterranean was so refreshing. It was interesting to see big boulders on the bottom of the sea.

you could spend weeks in rome - the fountains, architecture, monuments, ruins, museums...vatican city in particular...there's so much history you'll just get lost in it (and thats a good thing when travelling) |

i would have to say rome. rome is one of my favorite cities, it is true that it is big, and hustle and busle, but i love it so much. i didnt find it to be horribly dirty , from what other people told me i was expecting much worse.... but it just looked like a normal city to me except it has so much history so not normal city after all i take that back. italy is one of my favorite places, it is beautifl the architecture is fabu, the people and beautiful ( well you guys are....) the language is charming, and funny when they are yelling at each other which is normal...
when i was in rome i loved the vatican it was amazing the place is huge not to mention beautiful and the history will blow your mind, just make sure you get a good tour guide if you do. because i thnk that is why i didnt enjoy is quuuuuuuuuuuite as much as i thought i would have. i liked the outside better , st peters square(?) seeing that was awesome i cant even put it in words. my favorite was the Colosseum Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. I lOVED WALKING through that that was more interesting than the vatican to me, the thought of roman people running around in the same place as i was was cool. i also REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLY loved the spanish steps. i remember when i walked around the corner and i saw them for the first time. for as long as i can remember i had wanted to see them and walk up them. when i finally did i was soooo happppy , they are truly very beautiful. its fun to just sit next to the flowers that cover the steps and watch the people. watch the old couples they are so cute seeing them walk up and sit down on the step with their grandchildren running around wild. but you cant eat while youre there on the steps...it's like illegal er something haha just listening to the music that some bum... sorry ... will probably be playing and buying a rose from the guy selling them ..makes you feel good :) he gave me one haha maybe he will you too . i lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeee italy and rome . the italians are haaaaaaawt |

venice by far. it is gorgeous. just walking around the streets is amazing. you can go to san marco's square and go take a tour of the dodges palace and the basilica. gondola rides are always fun and walking the streets of venice at night and getting lost brings new scenery at every turn. the people are friendly and the shopping areas are wonderful. venice is my favorite city by far!
ciao. |
