Yes i have been in Italy and it's a cool country.
I suggest you to go to:
Rome
Vatican
Milan
The first thing that i like in Italy are the statues that date before 2000 or more years.
The architecture is great!
Than the shopping centers (especially Milan) are coool.
Hope it helps.

Been to much of Italy, and Florence is my favorite city. Wine region of Tuscany is beautiful, and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence has a spectacular (world renowned) collection of Renaissance art. Rome is big and ancient, and worth two days of sight-seeing. Venice is unique, beautiful, romantic and worth a visit but is like Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco in the sense that it exists primarily for tourism. Start with those areas and you'll know where to go next.
