I love Rome! I have been several times. Its 'foreign'; enough that you feel you have been some where, but the food is familiar and fabulous. Pasta, risotto, wine and gelato. What more can you ask for?
There are so many historical site as well. It is the perfect weekend away. |

my favourite city in the world. I am from Canada. I have visited Rome about 12 times, seen so many wonderful things, and there is still so much more to see.
The food is great, the people are warm and freindly. there is nowhere I would rather be than Rome |

Hello-)
...well..i think that is one of the best tourist destination!!Rome attracts many people:
-religious aspect,pilgrimage-people go there because of Vatican etc
-history,architecture!!!!whhoaa!!!-...... love the paintings,Michel Angello,Pantheon
Personally i like Rome very much. However i think its a bit crowdy and expensive for me to go there more often but that's typical for places like Rome to be busy and quite pricey.
I'm going to Rome in January-i can not wait.
By the way,English is not my first language as well....I'm learning it all the time like you:-) |

Hi we visited Rome earlier this year, and found it to be a wonderful place, so much history, everyone was friendly, we had a lovely time, visited every tourist place and some of the local bars and restaurants, we were welcomed and made to feel at ease. |

The sights in Rome are very impressive. I am glad we went but the city was WAY to busy for me. The subway was horrible! Venice was by far my favorite...... |

I was in Rome in May this year and we had a fantastic time.We managed to fit in all of the sights and had the most wonderful food. The people were friendly and helpful and we would definitely go back again (just for the food alone!!).
The only thing that came as a shock was the traffic, trying to cross the road was like playing russian roulette. But apart from that 10 out of 10. |

My husband and i went to Rome 2 years ago. We had a great holiday and love the city. We especially liked the ruins. As a city it has kept its character - lots of wonderful shops and plazas and of course restaurants.
We love the pizza as made in Italy rather than the English version!
We want to go again - there was so much to see we didn't get around all we wanted. We went to St Peter's (wonderful) but didnt have time to visit The Vatican museum. I would love to see the Sistine chapel ceiling - volta della cappella Sistina.
Thank you for asking this question - it brought back good memories.
you write the English language very well - keep up the good work. |

My girlfriend and I went to Rome in October. We every minute of it, especially the shopping along Via dei Corso. We found the people less friendly than in Venezia and Firenze (where we went too) but the gelati in Rome were the greatest.
It takes some time to learn how to cross the road in Rome. Despite nearly dying many times it always made me laugh.
London is a great city as well but I prefer Rome!
By the way, your English is good. Keep it up. |
