Sicily is a very nive place to go, good food, good wine and nice people. I've been there just once and I really enjoied the holiday.
I's quite cheap in comparison with all the regions of the north of Italy, but i don't know detailed informations about sports.

Enjoy your honey-moon, Sicily is wonderful and if you go off the beaten tracks it's not expensive at all.

old know all
It's a big place (about half the size of England). The tourist resorts are overpriced like all tourist resorts. Get off the beaten track and it's cheap.
