Yes it is legal, it is big in Panama but bigger in Costa Rica. In Panama most of the working girls are from Colombia, and some from the Dominican Republic. There are only a handful of Panamanian women working prostitution. Panama has good strip clubsl. Le Palace is a popular one. Moulin Rouge shows but you have to take the girls to your hotel room, as there is no chance to do anything in the premises. Elite is a good second place.

BTW , those girls are mainly from Columbia because the drug-lords promised them a better life or because they owe money to them . Those girls also are 'supposed' to get weekly medical checks for STD's(sexually transmitted diseases) but often they forge their documents or they can catch a serious disease between check-ups . Incurable diseases I might add . Even with protection , you can also catch these diseases and often catch crabs anyway .

Here in Panama the prostitution is legal but you'll need to learn spanish or some words try to ckeck a Tourism Guide traveler or an English-Spanish book to consult some words if you want to speak with them. most of the girls don't know speak English. and about this places in Panama you can find several places dependig of your budget for example Gruta Azul,cotton club those places are recomended i dont know if you want something for your style try the Elite II the most expensive hehehe

You have heard correctly indeed. Prostitution is legal in Panama and it turns out to be a dandy place for geezers whose time for naturally picking up a young attractive lady has past them, or tattooed rednecks that without money could probably never get close to a latina.

Panama City has a couple of strip clubs where you can take out any of the girls for sex. These are Le Palace and Elite. In theory, these girls are the least likely to infect you with a disease but be prepared to pay a considerable bill for their services, at least considerable compared to what you are required to pay at other places. These vaginas usually run for 400-500 and they are really not worth it. You walk into these places with your Hawaiian shirt and they will ask you to buy them drinks before leaving and each drink runs for 15 dollars............

Another option for you is to have sex with a hooker from a massage parlor as another guy answered... Golden Times will do the trick just fine, although this place is not within walking distance of the upscale hotels. There are other massage places near these hotels and in El Dorado but I don't happen to remember their names... check in the yellow pages for "masajes".

Another option you have is to hang out at the veneto hotel bar.... bring your Hawaiian shirt and panama hat and i assure you that some girl looking to score will approach you. These hookers are an option but I wouldn't trust any of them since they are from the streets... it's probably better for you to do a girl from a massage parlor................

Ads in the paper such as la Prensa or critica can also lead you the way to escorts that will visit your hotel room for sex but since you don't get to see them before showing up, who knows who will knock on your door.

Panama doesn't really have street walkers or an area of town that is known for this, although there are exceptions of a few places where corner girls tend to hang out, i wouldn't recommend these places for you since they are in a bad part of town.

There are your options........ bottom line.......... no worries if you pick up a hooker, the police won't get involved........... and although this might sound silly, i would recommend that you ask for an id to make sure the girl is 18 or over if she comes accross as too young to assure no hassles with any police.

Clavado is right on the money. Those are the best places to go. Now just one more thing, brush up on your Spanish, because the girls are not fluent in English most of the times. There's a new spot called Cotton Club, that is supposed to be very good. I know the guy that does their immigration and he says that the girls are hand picked.

Since you're picking an upscale hotel in the financial district, make sure it's the Panama Marriott, that way you'll be in walking distance from both spots.

As for the moral issues, don't eat up all the hype. Sure some of them owe money, some really like to do that, trust me! However make sure that you use protection all of the time. A working girl.....is a working girl!

Go to Elite,the strippers look nice.Most of the prostitutes in Panama are from Colombia and The Dominican Republic and some of them are tricked into it.When I was littlle,I knew a Colombian woman who was promised a job in one of the beauty salons in Panama City,once she got to Toucumen,the recruiter(pimp) took away all her documents and brought her right to the whore house.Her story has a happy ending because one of her regulars ended up marrying her and taking her back to the USA with him.Have a good time and make sure you use protection.

For the record prostitutions is not legal in Panama, it is however tolerated and widely available. The previous posters have named some good places to search for it.

To the above poster, while I'm sure it happens, 99% of the women that come from colombia to work in Panama in this field come of their own free choice and for their own ecomomic gain. Also, they don't have the religious hang-ups that a lot of the "Holier than thou" types have in the U.S.They send alot thier money home and often buy houses for thier families. The girls in this industry are for the most part clean and safe (thier livlihood) depends on it. You have a better chance of catching something from a non professional girl who doesn't take as many precuations.
